Bergonzi brings the most solid form into this race and gets the vote to resume winning ways, although a shortlist of Six Day War, Swiss Act and Actodos will ensure that it is no easy task. Having won on his reappearance at Leicester, the selection then only found the progressive (and potentially very good) Silkwood too hot to handle twelve days ago. The stable are in good form and with further improvement to come, he looks the one to side with. Six Day War appreciated the step up to this trip when scoring last time on his handicap debut so should go well if transferring his ability to the turf. Actodos dotted up on his recent reappearance but whilst he has potential, that was a weak race and he would need to improve. Swiss Act makes his handicap debut today and isn't obviously well-treated from this mark of 82, whilst Morning Farewell won well last time out but has a 5lb rise in the weights to overcome today. A trappy race for punters, but Bergonzi gets the vote.
