In depth

Verdict

Tom Dascombe has a strong hand with both Russellinthebushes and Mercurial finishing second on their debuts at Redcar and Bath respectively. ZOLTAN STAR also found only one too good when sent off favourite at Windsor and Richard Hannon’s colt finished ahead of a couple of subsequent winners on that occasion - that looks the strongest form on offer. Sir Min is a half-brother to a host of winners and stands out among the newcomers.
