DUTCH MASTERPIECE won here in 2013 and completed a hat-trick with a Group 3 victory at the Curragh. He only ran once last year and needed his comeback run last month but in the hope he recaptures his form he's given the nod. The assessor took exception to Duke Of Firenze winning at Catterick in October, raising him 9lb, so a return to action in this non-handicap looks the best option though he's no certainty to finish in front of stablemate Normal Equilibrium, who has the advantage of a recent run and is generally thereabouts at this sort of level. The latter had Lucky Beggar behind at Newbury last month and though the veteran Masamah hasn't won for almost two years he likes the track and shouldn't be dismissed. Rene Mathis has had 21 starts and has yet to race over the minimum trip.
