EVER GIVEN (NAP) had an excellent first season scoring at Ripon, here, Goodwood and York and narrowly beaten in a lucrative auction race at Doncaster. He won on his debut last May so the lack of a run shouldn't be a problem. Pocket The Profit won easily on soft ground at Pontefract but didn't handle quicker going and an extra 6lb at Newmarket, though still had Lucky Man and Tolstoy behind. Auditor couldn't go the early pace over 5f at Sandown but stayed on late but Selby's Pride has only raced over the minimum.
