        Verdict

        Dessertoflife is clear of those with a handicap rating despite carrying a penalty for winning a Group 3 contest over 7f in Germany last year. Connections have little doubt about her staying judged on entries in the Oaks and Ribblesdale and she should have the measure of the likes of Pursuitofthestars, Mirsaalah and Doubly Motivated on these terms. The latter’s stablemate Moorside was placed in both start last term but Somehow opened her account at Leopardstown last month. She has a string of fancy entries and will likely start favourite for Aidan O’Brien as the Ballydoyle trainer has won four of the last eight renewals including last year’s running with subsequent Group 1 winner Diamondsandrubies. Play Gal looks up against it but Ralph Beckett’s fillies are always worth noting at this level and Oaks entry DIAMONDS POUR MOI made a winning start at Kempton in November. She may well give the Irish filly something to think about in this and gets a speculative vote.
