A tricky finale may see Party Ploy complete a hat-trick over Blue Star, and Allinjim, with Late Claim not out of it. The latter is stepped up in trip, having finished fifth of six behind Greta d'Argent at Doncaster, and will no doubt have been prepared well for this by Barry Hills. However, on the bare form, Party Ploy is hard to ignore, having won his last two starts in easy fashion at Catterick and Hamilton. While they were not as hard as this race, he is still well handicapped on his best form and has a bright chance of going in again. Allinjim returned to form when beating Reveillez over further at Haydock, but should not be inconvenienced by the shorter trip, while Blue Star was not beaten far at Ayr and seems to be coming to hand. Party Ploy is the selection.
