In depth

Verdict

George Bancroft lost his action when trying this trip for the first time at Salisbury and may well reverse that form with Where You At. POLAR ICE is a half-brother to Ice Sprite, who placed over 1m2f in Listed company. This is his first attempt beyond a mile and he makes his Turf and handicap debut and any market support would be hugely significant. Beat The Storm was first past the post at Yarmouth earlier this month but lost the race in the stewards’ room. He’ll be bidding for compensation while Sammy Sunshine started favourite in better company at Leicester last month and can’t be ignored.
