      Verdict

ACER is improving with experience and will likely be a short price to make it third-time lucky here after a couple of third places at Windsor. Haya Taal was second over 7f at Kempton on debut but unplaced over this trip at Newbury and now wears cheekpieces. Hollie Doyle prefers the twice-raced Ventura Empress to newcomer Propitious so she’ll likely prove best of Archie Watson’s fillies.
