        Verdict

        THIBAULT won over hurdles at Fontwell before running in a Class 2 handicap at Aintree. That was a step too far but Adam West’s charge must have solid claims in a race like this having a first run on Turf on the level. Russian Rumour also won over hurdles in the season just finished and looks a danger and Eagle's First wasn’t beaten far in his final two starts last year but is 0-11 in career runs. The Wire Flyer is running on the Flat for the first time since 2019 and needs softer ground.
