Verdict

LAMB OR COD is 6lb higher than when winning this last year but has probably been primed for a repeat. Soft ground isn't a problem and, as he goes well fresh, he could take all the beating again though Virak is certainly interesting as he won very easily on his UK debut at Newton Abbot in the spring and could be anything. Araldur is very tough but starts off the new campaign on a high enough mark and Peckhamecho didn't show much on his reappearance at Fontwell. Broadway Buffalo won his first three over hurdles last season but is another with plenty of weight and the equally promising Kaylif Aramis looks a better bet today.
