It is quite puzzling to see Joly Bey entered for a race like this, bearing in mind he jumped impeccably when winning a novice chase at Sandown by a distance last time. Having said that, this is a weak affair and providing he is not too put off by the smaller obstacles he should have far too much class for these rivals. Choisty, a thorough stayer and another one switching back from the larger obstacles, is the obvious selection for the forecast. The remaining runners look decidedly ordinary and Estupendo, fourth behind a fair sort at Folkestone a couple of starts ago, is probably best of the rest.
