In depth

Verdict

It’s more than two years since 14-year-old Applesandpierres won a race but he will handle the ground. Canal Rocks has been in decent form in this grade but there is nothing between him and Karakoram on Warwick running. Any further rain would help NO NO TONIC and Mark Gillard’s charge made a fair reappearance at Warwick last month so gets the nod even though Sevenofus has placed in his last four, including here in April. He remains winless, however, with Walkinthewoods 0-8 and lacking a recent run.
