    Verdict

    Almost An Angel is in the midst of a fine spell of form and David Evans' gelding has gained both career successes at this venue, including over a furlong further just four days ago. He battled on well to repel Accrington Stanley that day and has every chance of a follow-up with Gina Mangan offsetting his penalty. However, DUKE OF PRUSSIA is also in good nick at present and is best suited by this specialist trip. He was far from disgraced last time in a decent race at Chelmsford for the grade and is a narrow preference. Marselan has been well beaten the last twice but a return to the level of his winning form earlier in the season would see him in the mix.
