Papillon de Iena gets the confident vote in the opener with Shingle Street and You'vegotmerocking rated as the main dangers. The selection won in this grade last time when beating Resonance and although he does have his limitations, he has run well in the past on testing ground and he looks the one to beat. Shingle Street was pulled-up at Fontwell last time but he had previously won well at Stratford on soft ground. Two of his three wins have come with Tony McCoy doing the steering but Tom O'Brien is strong in the saddle and he has an obvious chance. You'vegotmerocking reverts to hurdles after a run over fences and although he has been disappointing of late in Ireland, he does handle this ground so he can't be dismissed lightly. Gold Guest ran well last time and is the other to consider, but for the winner we are happy to stick with Papillon de Iena.
