Verdict
Saucisson should reap the benefit of her second of three on debut at Bath and looks the main threat to DESPERATE HERO (NAP). The son of Captain Gerrard has run up against some useful sorts on his four starts and was far from disgraced when a beaten favourite at Newbury last time in a far better race. It will be disappointing if he cannot get off the mark, especially with Saffie Osborne's claim enabling him to receive 3lb from the other four colts. The only negative is the form of the Channon yard which has gone 24 days without a winner at the time of writing and is 0-22 in the past fortnight. It's hard to make a case for the other three to have run and Pearly Gaits faces a stiff task on debut against the colts.
