In depth

Verdict

RUBY CROWN is in good form and is taken to win again; Lupita joins Moonlight Music, Miss Pebbles and Lady Malousa on the shortlist Kim Bailey's mare now has a new mark of 91 to contend with following a Folkestone win last time out. She is effective on soft ground and it is unlikely that this new mark will be the limit of her ability. Miss Pebbles has joint top-weight to carry but the nine-year-old has five wins to her name and her recent effort at Ludlow wasn't bad in the context of this weak race. Moonlight Music and Lady Malousa both come here on the back of falls; the former has been given a decent break since and she cannot be overlooked off a mark of 79 if getting it all together. Meohmy is a rare jumps runner for Mick Channon, Lupita needs to bounce back from a disappointing run at Exeter, whilst Sturbury returns from an absence and needs a check in the betting accordingly. Not a strong way to finish the card and Ruby Crown can reign supreme.
