Verdict

Gumball made a positive start for a new yard at Stratford but didn't have much to beat. MALAYA can give Paul Nicholls a seventh win in this in the last 10 years having already won twice in France, including a Listed race at Auteuil in May - it would be no surprise to see him run up a sequence in this country. Kozier was favourite at Fontwell earlier this month but found one too good. He'll need to improve on that but Speedo Boy was a talented performer on the Flat, though his lack of experience could be a negative today.
