AFRICAN SHOWGIRL has won two handicaps at this level by narrow margins but had a bit in hand last time and a 4lb rise may not be enough to prevent a hat-trick. Mcdelta won a slightly better handicap at Carlisle but has been a beaten favourite twice subsequently while Intrigue was beaten a long way into second over 1m4f on Tapeta at Newcastle after landing a Pontefract maiden handicap. Collodi could provide the main threat as he has generally competed at a higher level and arrives on the back of an easy victory in a Stratford selling hurdle.
