        Verdict

ALLERTON has been raised 5lb since his near miss at Stratford but won over fences off a similar mark in the autumn and lacks serious opposition in a modest-looking affair in which few arrive in any kind of form. Gwili Spar could run into a place if in the mood but has never fulfilled early potential. Bobby Dove may be the pick of the remainder ahead of the returning Sterling Gent.
