Black Mischief, an easy winner at Newton Abbot in July, was under four lengths behind Proschema at Aintree in May but is worse off at the weights. The latter has won four of his five starts so far this year but faces a stiff task in this off top weight. Chapmanshype is a tough individual but has been found out in this grade before and the longer trip might catch out last season’s Aintree winner Rowland Ward with Torigni also upped in distance. Hooper is back over hurdles after a couple of unsuccessful runs over fences while Dargiannini could be anything having won a couple of minor novice events at Sedgefield in March when trained by Harry Whittington. Orbys Legend is also unexposed but we prefer Irish raider BLACKSTAIR ROCCO back over hurdles after a run on the Flat and another over fences.
