In depth

Verdict

This looks a very modest maiden and Mark Usher's LADY PERCY is fancied to have progressed enough from her debut fourth at Salisbury to come out on top. The extra furlong should be in her favour. Amadeus Wolfe Tone has hinted at ability, but Special Boy looks anything but and clearly isn't one of Godolphin's leading lights. Newcomer Poetry Writer only cost £5,000 but is a half-brother to three winners and wouldn't need to be anything out of the ordinary to figure here.
