Memphis Man beat Bashama by a length-and-a-quarter over C&D on slightly quicker ground last month and can probably be forgiven his latest run in better company on the Polytrack when he was racing from out of the handicap. Nikki Evans' filly re-opposes on 3lb better terms today, however, so there may not be much to choose the pair now. Olney Lass won three times last year but is still 3lb higher than the last of those victories and will struggle to give weight to Ffos Las third Red Avalanche and VALDAW. Tony Carroll's charge found 5f much too sharp here in July but was second over track and trip in May and races off the same mark today. Compton Target may be best of the rest.
