Nisaal contested what looked a very smart Newmarket maiden at the Craven meeting where he finished mid-division and with that experience now under his belt he is the obvious choice. Help up, he made progress before fading in the latter stages but with many winners likely to emerge from that contest, he could be above average. Market support for Murcar would be noteworthy but the Pontefract maiden which he last contested looked weak and that was confirmed when the third Sphere was beaten out of sight at Thirsk on Saturday. Border Owl, a 77 rated performer just failed in a 7f Kempton maiden and but this extended distance will undoubtedly suit. Nisaal displayed some promise at Newmarket and in a weak maiden is the pick.
