An interesting race where Yes Sir just edges the value call over Royal Katodoki and Ferimon, who look the most dangerous out of those with previous experience. Briareus was a fairly useful performer on the Flat for Andrew Balding but had a habit of finding a few too good. He is likely to need this after a 204-day absence and is probably best watched. Farceur, who represents the indomitable Martin Pipe, is another to bear in mind for future reference as the champion trainer will no doubt place him to good effect in due course. Royal Katodoki ran as if badly in need of the outing on his reappearance and is expected to be a different proposition today. However, his yard have gone through a lean spell recently and he is not one to go overboard about at cramped odds. Neither is Ferimon, who was anchored by his penalty last time and could be vulnerable to something a little more resilient. Which could come in the shape of Yes Sir, who has come up against some decent types in his last two starts and put those experiences to good use today. Peter Bowen's charge represents great value at the predicted prices.
