In depth

Verdict

CAPTAIN SHARPE won twice over hurdles over the winter and spring, his latest success coming in a decent contest on good to soft ground at Cheltenham. He's still a maiden on the Flat but is probably progressing and this looks a fairly ordinary contest. Princesse Fleur is only a pound higher than when just touched off over C&D last July and, along with Bazart, Go Amwell, Santera and Lightening Fire, has also been in action over the jumps but Bravo Bravo hasn't been seen since winning at Wolverhampton in March last year. The latter, though, is lightly-raced and Jamie Spencer's presence in the saddle points to a big run on his comeback.
