Michael Bell’s two-year-olds are always worth a second look here and Porcelain Girl improved on her debut when third over 7f at Doncaster. Shaybani ran in the Coventry Stakes at Ascot after winning over 5f here on soft going but was predictably outclassed. This is a more realistic target but he does have a penalty. Urban Light is another Johnny Murtagh juvenile with decent claims but is among the more exposed. SPIRIT OF MAY missed the break at Bath but kept on to chase home the winner who went on to finish a couple of lengths behind Shaybani at Ascot. On today’s terms, Roger Teal’s colt may be the pick as Dutch Treat already looked ready for an extra furlong when fifth over track and trip last month.
