    In depth

    Verdict

Gendarme weakened quickly at Bath and is now visored but has won over track and trip, like Essenaitch. ARCTIC SEA (NAP) has also won on this course and was successful over this distance at Windsor three runs ago. Only a pound higher here, this looks a bit easier than subsequent tests. Freckles was just beaten over 1m1f at Newbury in first-time headgear and will be a threat if the blinds work a second time while Banish probably exceeded expectations when fourth at Bath following a lengthy absence.
