Clarion Call isn't much better than a plater over hurdles and has won just once in 24 starts though he hasn't been running badly on the Flat this summer. Old Magic won a poor race here last November but is better on ground with plenty of give so it's the four-year-old SUPERCILIARY who gets the nod. Chris Gordon's charge won a novices' handicap at Plumpton in April and showed his versatility with a victory on the Flat at Kempton last month. Another Flutter hasn't been going badly over fences and can revert to hurdles on a lower mark so has to be considered.
