In depth

Verdict

Perth winner Patriarch Express has done nothing wrong and should put up a good show. Auld Thynes Sake showed promise on his debut - the second and sixth have won since - and warrants serious consideration. Beauchamp Oracle is interestingly bred, being by Mystiko out of a mare that won for John Dunlop. He should stay pretty well. Jonjo O'Neill's representative, Desert Arc, is by Spectrum out of a Green Desert mare that won twice at six furlongs as a juvenile in Ireland. Henrietta Knight's runner, Miller's Bay, is a gelded son of Karinga Bay and a mare that was unplaced in one bumper run. The market might give more clues as to his ability. Phar City, formerly with Tom Tate, is bred for this game but has clearly had his problems. Streamsforth Lad could well improve on his Ludlow run - he'd been in Ireland prior to that - but made his debut at Huntingdon in March. On the form of that race - working through Simply Da Best - he has something to find on Patriarch Express. All things considered, the percentage option is Auld Thynes Sake and he is taken as a pretty confident TEAMtalk selection for the final race on the card.
