Verdict

A highly competitive 'getting-out stakes' with nothing ruled out with confidence. Punctuation is one for any shortlist though after racking up an impressive four-timer since joining Fergal O'Brien and there was no sense that the handicapper has his measure yet. He is now 34lb higher though since starting his winning spree but his latest win here impressed and he's a key player. Nevertheless, MIGHT I is just the preference. He clearly did not stay the extended three miles at Haydock latest and it's no surprise to see him revert back to this much shorter challenge. He performed with great credit at Grade 1 and 2 level last season and a competitive effort is anticipated. Hacker Des Places remains feasibly treated and the 5lb claim of his pilot is a bonus, The unexposed Pikar is an each-way option.
