Night Alliance had That'lldoboy and River D'Or behind when making a winning debut over fences for Richard Newland over this C&D last month. He ran a lifeless race when strongly fancied at Newbury three weeks later and is very much better than he showed that day. Charminster is a talented individual who hasn't had much racing and is with the right man to get the best out of him though this is a tough handicap baptism. Made In Time has won two and fell twice in his four starts over fences and this doesn't look the best of tracks for a dodgy jumper but conversely it's MR CHOW, who fell at Southwell last time, who gets the vote as he had previously looked a potentially very useful chaser when slamming his rivals in two starts at Taunton. With the Venetia Williams yard in tremendous form, the former Australian chase winner Pentiffic can build on his battling success at Huntingdon and the consistent Royale's Charter looks on a fair enough mark to make his presence felt.
