Successful in this last year, Richard Newland and Cillin Leonard team up with the unexposed CAPTAIN TOM CAT. The five-year-old is the unknown quantity having won a couple of novice events at Uttoxeter. The form of both has been franked and he should be even better over this longer trip. Our Power ended the last campaign by beating a big field at Kempton in a higher grade so he warrants respect. Imperial Elysian has won three of his last four and Nicky Henderson’s pair Fix Sun and Hijack also go on the shortlist. Weather Front went close at Kelso on his reappearance and Yeavering Belle bounced back from a poor run at Newton Abbot to win at Ludlow. There should be more to come from Sedgefield winner Young Lieutenant and Exod'ela and Storm Goddess are among others with place claims at least.
