Yet another competitive event here and it can go to the consistent Cottingham ahead of Khasab, Roby De Cimbre and Le Corvee. Cottingham acts with cut in the ground and has been going well at around this trip throughout the summer. he has a nice racing weight here, is used to pretty big fields, and won nicely last time out, so we are happy to side with him. Khasab has much less experience but is going the right way and handles cut in the ground. He stays further than this, so an end to end gallop should suit and there is plenty of potential for improvement, so he should go very well. Roby De Cimbre ran in a couple of warm novices' hurdles last back end and is another who handles cut. If Paul Nicholls has him straight after a break then his form entitles him to be a player. Le Corvee has been in fine form and returns to hurdles after being well beaten over fences last time. However, ideally he would prefer fast ground and Mill House Girl may be a better proposition, but Cottingham is the pick here.
