Verdict

Classic Fiddle is taken to master Westgrove Berry, with Delena and Inherent other leading players. Given the strength of Nicky Henderson's bumper team, it is not hard to fancy the claims of Classic Fiddle who showed abundant stamina when scoring at the first time of asking at Plumpton last month. The win was made all the sweeter as she is the first foal of Fiddling The Facts who was a prolific winner for the Seven Barrows yard in her time. She will no doubt be packed off to stud eventually, but she will be expected to storm up the hill and double her tally today. Nicky Richards collected 12 months ago with Knockara Luck, and so Westgrove Berry has to be respected. A half-sister to Topanberry, she could do no more than beat what she did at Catterick and is the main danger here. Delena went in at the second time of asking at Taunton but faces a stiffer task, while Inherent may struggle a bit over this trip if they go a decent pace, and we much prefer the claims of Classic Fiddle.
