Though placed at The Festival here, Mister Coffey is now 0-9 over fences and has been very frustrating to follow. Alaphilippe finished second in the Pertemps Final over hurdles here in March and almost certainly needed the run behind GOOD RISK AT ALL at Carlisle last month. But Sam Thomas’ gelding was very impressive that day considering he was also jumping fences for the first time and he looks destined for big things. Weveallbeencaught jumped well when third here three weeks ago and is another likely to strip fitter today but he did finish more than a length behind Broadway Boy and is 5lb worse off.
