Forth Bridge could provide a rare Royal winner here if he can improve a little on his latest second at Musselburgh but this stiffer track will suit third AMOUR DE NUIT better and he is 3lb better off. The latter’s stablemate, Capitaine, has been growing great guns over fences but hasn’t raced over hurdles in almost 12 months. Viserion was just denied at Carlisle last month but Going Gold recorded a victory on that track, though over an extra half-mile. Poppy Kay could bounce back at any time while a recent run in a bumper will have blown away any cobwebs surrounding Magic Dancer. The four-year-old Oxford Blu can’t be ignored either in an open-looking finale.
