Verdict

Gold Des Bois is a consistent sort who has slipped to a decent mark and Do Your Job’s last win in a handicap came off today’s mark. Guy wasn’t beaten far when fifth here last month but had a fitness advantage that day over fast-finishing runner-up TRIPLE TRADE (NAP), who should have no problem confirming the form. That was the latter’s first defeat since stepping out of the novice ranks and the yard won this last year. Calico won at Southwell and Doncaster last season and could have more to offer this term along with No Risk Des Flos, though the latter has proved something of a Wetherby specialist so far.
