In depth

Verdict

A couple of smart novices re-oppose. Al Dancer landed the odds in a novice chase over track and trip last month and is penalised 3lb but he also struggled without a hood in the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle here back in March and the headgear has been left off again for this. GETAWAY TRUMP (NAP) finished behind the latter on his reappearance and chasing debut having made a couple of mistakes but will improve for that experience and trainer Paul Nicholls expects him to be sharper today. He’s taken to reverse running on this occasion. That pair are clear of Rouge Vif and Put The Kettle On on today's terms though the former made a winning start over fences at Market Rasen last month and the Irish raider went very close in a Grade 3 novice chase at Tipperary last time.
