This has been run six times and Willie Mullins won the first five before Gordon Elliott sent out Telmesomethinggirl to take the honours 12 months ago. The master of Mhuine Bheag seems determined to wrest back his crown saddling seven of the 22 runners this year with Brandy Love, who hung left-handed when beaten by stablemate Allegorie de Vassy at Fairyhouse, and the impressive Clonmel maiden winner Dinoblue looking the pick though Hors Piste was also eye-catching in another Clonmel maiden last month. Elliott’s best hope of a repeat appears to lie with Party Central but the home team this time looks stronger than has been the case in the past.
