In depth

Verdict

Reve De Sivola sets a decent standard but it was hard not to be impressed by BOBBY EWING at Uttoxetter whilst the claims of Rebel Du Maquis cannot be ignored. Nick Williams won this race with the top class Diamond Harry and Reve De Sivola may be of a similar class to the stable star judged by his return to action at Chepstow. He looks a stronger horse this year and should be contesting the top races but he meets a couple of equally fascinating opponents. Rebel Du Maquis couldn't have been more impressive at Exeter on debut for the yard and is regarded as a nice prospect but this will tell us more about him in terms of his standing in the rankings. Berties Dream has progressed well over hurdles whilst Tell Massini and Quentin Collonges both ran out wide margin winners last time and none can be ignored but Bobby Ewing looks capable of taking high rank this season. The fact that the favourite failed to run his race at Uttoxeter could be used to hold the value of the form down and the second was only rated 107 but there was no doubting the ease with which Bobby Ewing travelled and pulled clear. He looks a high class prospect in the making and Bobby Ewing is well worth his place in this line-up and could strike it rich.
