In depth

Verdict

Cut The Mustard has been cut some slack for the first time since joining Paul Nicholls from Willie Mullins, But, though dropped 2lb for her defeat in the newly-instituted Mares' Chase at The Festival last month, she may require further leniency to get her head in front. MISS AMELIA (NAP) has enjoyed a splendid campaign, exclusively on ground with considerable cut, but her back catalogue shows she's more than capable on good ground and she may just defy the handicapper again despite a 5lb rise to a career-high mark of 119. Sacre Coeur is hard to assess while Little Light and Northern Beau need to improve to land a race of this nature but Vienna Court was better last time so could well emerge as the main danger to the selection.
