Verdict

A tricky end to a typically-competitive card but WORTHY FARM battled well to hold off the more-experienced Rosemary Russet on his handicap debut at Taunton and looks a promising young stayer - an 8lb rise looks harsh but he is improving. Sizing Granite is better known as a chaser but can race off a 23lb lower mark over hurdles so any market support should be noted. Dans Le Vent is better than he showed last time at Kempton but still untried over a trip that far. Aaron Lad beat Clondaw Native at Market Rasen last month and Great Trango made a promising return to hurdling in September after running well on the Flat in Ireland over the summer. Lygon Rock may be the pick of the remainder ahead of The Eaglehaslanded.
