Mark Equal was given a supremely confident ride when making a winning return at Newbury on Thursday and is taken to follow up under a 7lb penalty at the main expense of Cigarillo and Multeen River. The last mentioned ran on well when making a winning return at Uttoxeter in September before slipping up here last month. He has to be respected despite the burden of top weight. Pat Haslam's You're Special faces no easy task after 11 months off and of more interest may be second season chaser Cigarillo, who races off what looks a fair mark for his debut in this grade. Philip Hobbs is responsible for both Toi Express and Mounsey Castle, with jockey bookings suggesting that the latter of the two is the better fancied of the pair. Nigel Twiston-Davies continues to send out winners so Ardashir cannot be dismissed entirely although a bigger threat may come from Irish raider Rocking Ship. The vote though goes to Mark Equal who won with plenty in hand at Newbury and is taken to win again.
