Verdict

These mares’ chases are growing in popularity but they do produce the odd upset. Definitelyanoscar never looked like catching a back-to-form Really Super at Kempton but finished well ahead of Molly Carew and Skewiff and this stiffer track should help. Parlour Maid showed a willing attitude to score at Lingfield and is now 3-6 over fences while Zara Hope kept finding at Market Rasen, though will need to jump better here and is also penalised. CHEQUERED VIEW could probably have done without a further 5lb rise but she looks the one to beat in this on collateral form having found only one too good in this grade at Hereford two runs ago.
