Defending champion PAISLEY PARK bids for an eighth straight victory and is difficult to oppose. Despite having won Grade 2 races here and at Newbury this season, he has been prepared with this race in mind and he has the stand-out form over 3m. Penhill, though still useful, is not the same horse that won this in 2018 and was well beaten by Apple's Jade at Leopardstown over Christmas but the prolific mare then ran a shocker when pulled up behind Benie Des Dieux at Gowran. Summerville Boy was beaten fair and square behind the selection last time having won the Relkeel here earlier but still holds Lisnagar Oscar, Tobefair and L'Ami Serge. City Island is interesting as he won the Ballymore last year. He hasn’t been in the same form this season, however, and has recently undergone wind surgery. Emitom disappointed on his reappearance here but then won a Grade 2 at Haydock and he is one of the unknown quantities in the race.
