Amoola Gold has run well in a couple of starts at Ascot this season but seems best at that track and he was well beaten in the Grand Annual here in March when 6lb lower. EDITEUR DU GITE unseated his rider at the last in the first of those Ascot races but has since made amends here, holding off Stolen Silver with Bun Doran third. Gary Moore’s seven-year-old takes no prisoners and will be helped with a 7lb rise by Niall Houlihan’s 5lb claim. Frero Banbou looked to be coming to hand at Newbury and can’t be ignored while Cheddleton ran well at Carlisle on unfavourable terms, though looks high enough in the weights at present.
