In depth

Verdict

This is a really competitive race in which Range Rover couldn't be a confident selection. Massimo, Bowdens Lane and Adams Wine feature amongst a raft of potential dangers. The selection represents the powerful team of Richard Barber and Nick Williams and, like many in this field, has been running up a sequence in points. He easily won his latest start at Woodford and looks sure to run a big race tonight. Massimo proved his ability to jump regulation fences with a bloodless success at Towcester (Highland Vasco and Reflector who run earlier on the card were behind) and that experience should stand him in good stead. James Tudor knows his way around this course and he teams up with Bowdens Hill whose winning sequence was brought to an end by a fall at Andoversford last month. Adams Wine comes here on the back of a 25 length success at Bangor but he did fall when contesting a Hunter Chase at the same venue which has to be a concern here. A terrific race is in prospect, Range Rover is preferred.
