      Verdict

Several of these are old foes with Sir Hector and Sir Rodneyredblood taking it in turns to beat each other and the former coming out best over track and trip the last time they met. The latter has subsequently finished in front of Al Asef while SUZI’S CONNOISSEUR was third to Sir Hector here. But Jane Chapple-Hyam’s veteran had the disadvantage of a wide draw on that occasion and is taken to reverse running having slipped further down the weights. El Ray gets additional headgear on his second outing after wind surgery and makes his handicap debut.
