    Verdict

A Group 2 winner at York last season, SHINE SO BRIGHT hasn’t progressed as expected this year but still comes out best on today’s terms. He placed in a Group 3 sprint at Newbury in July and a similar effort can see Andrew Balding’s grey come out best on his all-weather debut. Raucous is capable at this level on his day having landed a Listed race at Newmarket last year and is preferred to the three-year-old The Perfect Crown, who drops down to 6f for the first time. Bella Fever has plenty to find in this company.
