Verdict

JACK BEAR won over 1m6f at Wolverhampton recently and an apprentice’s allowance negates a 3lb rise. He can go in again and is preferred to The Resdev Way, a runner-up over 2m at Newcastle last time but 6lb higher than when last winning. Nurse Nightingale has yet to win anywhere and steps up in trip after a second over 1m2f but Sean O'Casey scored off a similar mark over 1m4f on the Turf last summer. The Gay Cavalier is not badly treated but only won an amateurs race last year and is another with a bit to prove over the distance.
